Here are some frequent questions and answers:
1. General questions
ProSale Signing is a service to sign documents electronically.
It can use a number of different authentication techniques such as PKI from several countries and providers, SMS/e-mail code or Facebook login.
A detailed description of authentication techniques is available here. We include new identification techniques continuously.
Important aspects of ProSale Signing are that it does not need any account registration of the signatories,
that it can be easily integrated into business applications and that it can use a number of different authentications.
2. Start a signing
These fields are optional and should only be filled in when necessary.
This will be presented to you in the traffic report to facilitate your follow up.
3. Signing request
In some email client’s links are disabled.
The second link is presented to allow for “cut and paste” into a web browser in order to start the signing process.
4. Signing process
When you want to sign the document with possible attachments you click the button “Sign” and then confirm you choice.
If you want to decline signing the document you click the button “Decline” and can give a reason for this.
5. Text Message (SMS)
One reason could be that an incorrect mobile phone number has been given. Check that it is correct and if it is wrong contact the person who has started the signing.
Another reason could be overload of the mobile network which can result in delays. This can occur during long weekends and special events.
6. Distribution of the signed document
The signed document is distributed to all signatories and the contact person if one is given.
The validation or check of a signed document can be made in a number of different ways such as using Adobe Software, third party services
or with ProSale Signing. Click here for a description of the different alternatives.
7. Legal aspects
ProSale Signing fulfills the requirements of advanced electronic signatures according to the Qualified Electronic Signatures Act (SFS 2000:832).
It also fulfills requirements in the US according to the “Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (“ESignature Act”), and the Act on Qualified Electronic Signatures,
EU directive 1999/ 93/EG. A user of ProSale Signing can be a physical or legal person.
8. API questions
The ProSale Signing API makes full integration with any kind of application easy. The Web Services are based on SOAP 1.1 and the workflow engine allows for customization of each step in the signing process to accommodate for any business needs.
